I'm No Cowboy

So Sunday I was heading down to spend the day with my family, really looking forward to a visit with my Grandparent (whom I haven't seen in way to long!) Well I had just got to Bunkerville and settled in when I got a call from one of Kent's friends that he had been in an accident and they were on their way to the ER.
I packed Zak back in the truck and we headed back to Cedar with the cruise control set because I surely didn't trust my foot to hold a reasonable speed.
When we got to the hospital I learned that he had been bucked off a horse. He was heading up the mountain to go scouting for deer. The trip literally had just started when Kent was getting on the horse the saddle slipped and Kent went flying. Now I know little about horses but apparently that is bad!
He ended up with stitches in his chin, lip and a broken nose. That was the cosmetic damage. He also had a concussion. I have never been around this condition before and it is pretty scary. I spent the entire night repeating the answers to his questions a 100 times each. By the end of the night he knew it was Sunday, June 29 and he was 30 (and felt it). He knew what happened but still couldn't remember it.
24 plus hours later he is in pain and swollen but his head is back on straight. I know that it didn't turn out to be too big of a deal but it did remind me how important he is to me and how horrible it would be if anything happened to him. I keep hugging him today and I know he thinks I am crazy but I am sure glad he broke his nose and nothing else!

Groovefest '08

This weekend we went to enjoy one of the great activities the "Festival City" offers. Groovefest is two days of constant bands, carnival food, booths and a children's play area. It really is a fun way to spend a afternoon and evening in our great city.
Kent and Zak spent Friday night there while I spent the night sick in bed, but they let me join on Saturday with them. We went there for dinner where we went to all the food booths and ordered something from everywhere. It was quite the greasy heart clogging absolutely delicious spread!

Zak's favorite was the corn on the cob I don't think that Kent or I got much of either of our cobs!

While Kent and I took a minute for the grease to really soak in to our organs Mike took Zak for a walk. While gone they saw a monkey, got a juice, and a TATOO! At 19 months I think that it is adorable, now at 19 years we may have a problem!

Breaking Dawn

There's only 36 Days left until Breaking Dawn is released! Unfortunately it's coming out the day before my 1st wedding anniversary so I think I'm going to have to cancel the romanic trip I just know Beau has planned. Just kidding! I couldn't do that to him! I'll probably just bring the book and read the whole time.

So who does everyone think Bella will end up with? Edward or Jacob? I am personaly on Team Edward. And I'm going to be ticked if Jacob comes back and just messes everything up! AND if she ends up with Jacob, I'm going to Burn all 4 books! How about everyone else?

Cedar in June

Sunday Mom, Tara and the Girls came to play and enjoy a nice evening in 85 degree weather instead of 105...I think it was a perfect way to spend a sunday afternoon.We got Grandma out of the house for some fresh air and "roudy kid" entertainment. Grandma and Granpa Hulet have such a great play yard that has such great memories for all generations that it was nice that the youngest generation is getting to enjoy it a little too!

To Prescott and Back

This last weekend Kent, Zak, Taleesa and I braved the 7 hour trip to Prescott Arizona. The town was not pretty but it reminded me of home, actually Bunkerville is prettier but they have a Kohls so they are better!
Zak had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa Reid and came home with a new obsession, Jeeps! He won't quit, you have no idea how many Jeeps are in your town until your 19 month old is pointing them out every two seconds!


After the 7 hours in the truck we gave Zak free run of the back yard and this is what he found to do! Yes that is a butter container on his head!


Saturday Night we went to the dirt track that is down the street from Chris and Karen's and took Zak to his very first race. He fit right in with the boys and we had to drag him away to go to bed. Note the Wheeler that is still permanently attached to his hand, yes even in the bath.

Zoey's Graduation

Last week zoey graduated from preschool. She was very excited,but even more excited that she gets to go to kindergarten now. She is always asking kylee question about what happens in her school its really cute. She is the graduating class of 2021 which sounds like a long time until you stop and think about how fast the last 5 years of her life have gone.(alittle tear just fell)
